Bad Vegan

Bad vegan is a Netflix docuseries that was released on 16 March 2022. The storyline covers the true story of a successful restauranter Sarma Melngailis who makes herself fall into a disaster with fraud in her own restaurant Pure Food And Wine. She did this being trapped in the sweet words of a mystery man Anthony Strangis with whi she accidentally met online. It's a unique real crime series on a self-dependent Sarma Melngailis, popularly which is also known as the vegan Bernie Madoff, and it's extremely unusual.

Strangis promises to expand her business and then swindled Melngailis' self-made money when he successfully made her believe that he is the man who has everything she can dream of and only he can make her dreams come true. In the trailer, he promises Melngailis and made her believe that he can make her dog eternal if she passes a series of tasks. Melngailis was also charged for violating the labor law for she did not pay her workers and vendors. The staff walked out of their jobs for not being paid. She also transfer a million dollars to her private account and disappeared. She was then caught at the hotel with Anthony.

The story is based on the themes of fraud, fame, and love. Melngailis got frauded by a man and in return fraud her own identity. She set up her identity as the best vegan, who provides the best and healthy food. The story is also a lesson for the people who trust blindly in love. Loving someone is okay but should not allow someone to take a hold of your life and destroy you.
