Duke William labelled as 'racist' for his comments on Russia Ukraine Conflict
In his visit to the Ukrainian cultural center situated in London, with his wife Duchess Kate, he stated that seeing war in Europe is very strange. It was also said that he compared the conflict of Russia and Ukraine with the wars in Asia and Africa and added that war is a common thing there. He uses the word 'alien for wars in Europe and argued that they were used to seeing such things in Asia and Africa. However, later reports revealed that William did not make such a comparison. This created a backlash on social media.
The public pointed out that world war I, world war II, and many other conflicts throughout the world including the 9/11 incident happened because of Britain's ancestors of the Royal family. One also criticized that war and bloodshed originated from their ancestors.
All this happened and people started calling Duke of Britania William a 'racist'. They criticized that a person who belongs to a family which commenced war things is now condemning a war.
Qasim Rashid a human rights lawyer has criticized William's comment and asked him to have a look over Britain's history which reflects on the strong connection between war and Britain's empire. One of the CNN anchors also criticized the same way with a 1937 picture of the Duke of Windsor Edward along with his wife exchange greeting with Adolf Hitler in Germany.
